Raymond Martinez, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and veteran, passed away surrounded by the family he devoted his life to. Born in El Paso, Texas, Raymond came into the world to Ramona and was lovingly raised by his aunt and uncle, Beatrice and Pascual Martinez. Their guidance and care helped shape the strong, principled man he would become.
Raymond was a devoted brother to his three sisters and one brother, and an uncle to numerous nieces and nephews who adored him. He built a beautiful life with his wife of 32 years, Janie Martinez, with whom he shared deep love, partnership, and unwavering commitment.
He was a proud father of two daughters, Erica Ortiz and Esther Munyala, and father-in-law to Brian Ortiz, the late Jimmy Munyala, and Meteor Dozal. Raymond cherished his role as a grandfather, finding immense joy in Destiny, Desirey, Grace, Elisse, JimmyRaymond, and Jianna. He was also eagerly awaiting the arrival of his first great grandson, Raphael.
A stern yet deeply loving man, Raymond was known for his strength, loyalty, and selflessness. He served his country honorably as a veteran and later dedicated himself to a career in nursing, where his compassion and steady presence brought comfort to many. To his family and to all who know him, he was a guide-firm when needed, gentle at heart, and always giving more than he ever asked for in return.
Raymond Martinez leaves behind a legacy of service, love and resilience. His memory will be held dearly and carried forward by the many lives he touched.
