1946-2022
In memory of Robert C. Aguilar; a son, brother, friend, uncle, husband, father, and grandfather. Robert was born in El Paso, Texas to Roberto and Bernarda Aguilar on February 28, 1946. He was the eldest of eleven children; Enrique, Dolores, Jose Luis, Sandra, Patricia, Leticia, Rebecca, Rodolfo, Oscar+, and Carlos+. Robert was a proud graduate of El Paso High School Class of 1965. He continued his education at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, he became a lifelong Miner graduating in 1976. Shortly after, Robert married his wife Lilia of forty-four years. They shared two sons and two daughters; Robert Jr. (Monica), Rodolfo, Cynthia (Derek), and Celina (Jonathan). Robert worked for the federal government under the Department of the Army and the Department of Veterans Affairs for over twenty years before retiring. Over the years he and his wife gained two sons and one daughter and were blessed with their grandchildren. Robert is remembered for providing wholeheartedly for his family and giving endlessly to his children and grandchildren. Robert fought through the difficult parts of his life surrounded by his family and the support of doctors, nurses, and hospice care. They will always have our sincere appreciation. Robert passed peacefully at the age of 75 on the evening of January 3, 2022. May he now rest in our Father's grace.
