ROBERTO LOPEZ passed away on December 28, 2011 at the age of 82. He was born and raised in Smeltertown, Texas. Roberto served in the Korean War and was a member of VFW Post 9471. Roberto is survived by his wife Luz Lopez, sons Gabriel (Martha), Arturo (Maggie) and Robert (Pat), daughters Pina (Peter) and Josie (Manny). His also survived by his grandchildren Mike, Paul, Amanda, Jessica, Jennifer, Jason, Candice, Robert, Cristine, Anthony, Margaret and great-grandchild Noah W. Lopez. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home West. Funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Matthew Catholic Church 400 W. Sunset Rd. Interment to follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
