Ron was born in Neillsville WI. on Feb. 3, 1945. He served in the USA Army for 3 years in Germany. Ron began Refuge Ministry with his wife, he was a minister for more than 40 years. Ron loved his ministry and was always welcoming people to his life. Ron with his wife traveled to many places Philippines, Africa, Mexico and serval other countries.
Ron is preceded in death by his wife Bernadette Gartner, parents Marry and Fred Gartner, and his brother Fred Gartner. He is survived by his children Sean Gartner, Ronald Gartner II (Jamie), Tammy Fumall (Andy), Bernadette Gallegos (Adrian), Raul Rico Jr (Sharon), Patrick Rico (Gerry), 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and many friends.
His Celebration of Life will be held April 25 at Funeraria del Angel Restlawn Memorial Park visitation at 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM Services 11:30AM – 12:30PM. Burial at 1:00 PM with Military Honors at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso.
