I will never forget Ron and send my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Fiona and family.  Love always.

We were so pleased that Ron and Fiona were able to attend our wedding.

I was shocked and saddened by the untimely passing of Ron Marcee and I have been reflecting on the death of a great friend and relative. 

I was first aware of Ron in the early 1980s when he and Fiona were dating; when they married in 1983, I became his Scottish brother-in-law and for the next 40 years we crisscrossed the Atlantic to visit each other.
 When the boys were young we visited Disneyland, other areas of S California and New Mexico; in later years I enjoyed road trips to the Grand Canyon, Santa Fe and San Antonio, from where we went on to see family in Georgetown. Visiting family in Lodi was another highlight of that trip. Ron and Fiona were excellent hosts and spending time with them in their home was equally enjoyable. 

There were many happy trips to Scotland and Ron relished the history of the capital, Edinburgh. Visiting the New Town, an area of Edinburgh, Ron was amazed that it was built in 1780; how could that be a new town? When navigating extremely narrow roads in the Scottish Highlands, Ron commented that roads in Texas had to be no less than 24 feet wide. These roads were less than half that width, but the views were always worth it. 
The family home in Airdrie is in Central Scotland so there were many short trips to the Clyde Coast and the islands of Millport and Rothesay. The Transport Museum in Glasgow was another favourite place to visit, on more than one occasion. 
When Ron and Fiona came to Scotland many happy times were spent with family and friends; Ron made friends  easily and Fiona’s friends and former colleagues all loved spending time with him. 
Latterly, plans to travel were curtailed by the pandemic and Fiona’s illness. Looking after Fiona was Ron’s priority and he did this with great care and devotion. I’ll be eternally grateful to Ron for all his efforts in looking after my sister. Ron’s Scottish relatives and I really enjoyed his company and he will be very much missed and never forgotten.

Mr. Marcee is also survived by his grandchildren, Jacob, Temple, Elle, Jackson, Bailey, Campbell, and Jamison Marcee; sisters, Connie Hekimian, Debbie Thomas, Randie Bailey, Alice Marcee, and Sandie Marcee; brothers, Johnny, Donny, Rodney, and Andy Marcee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Ohlia Marcee; his brother, Tommy Marcee; and his sister, Bonnie Brown.
