Mrs. Rosanna Martinez (83) of El Paso, Texas was called into eternal life on August 31, 2018. She was a beautiful and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great, great grandmother. She was a simple woman who dedicated her life to her family and was our rock and anchor, sacrificing much on our behalf.
Rosanna was born to Antonio and Carlota Barraza of El Paso, Texas in 1935. After graduating from Austin High School, she married Refugio Martinez in 1954. They were married for 48 years until his passing in 2002. Together they raised four children; Rosanna Cruz, Refugio Martinez Jr, Rene Martinez and Robin Milburn. She worked hard inside and outside the home most of her adult life. After retiring from Furr’s Supermarkets, she spent time relaxing, taking care of grand kids and traveling. Mom, your love, memories and legacy will remain in our hearts forever. May God keep you always.
Rosanna is preceded in death by her husband and sister, Beatrice Guillen. She is survived by her children and siblings Antonio Barraza Jr., Yolanda Guillen, and Mary Dolores Ibarra; 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home at 1060 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass: Friday, September 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
