With hearts heavy yet filled with love, we announce that Rosario “Rose” J. Gonzalez spread her angel wings on December 19, 2025. Known to most simply as Rose, she was a rare and radiant soul whose beauty shone from the inside out. Her kindness was effortless, her generosity boundless, and her presence brought a warmth that softened even the hardest days. She touched every life she encountered, leaving behind light, love, and lasting memories.
Rose lived with a quiet strength that spoke louder than words. She gave without hesitation, always offering comfort, compassion, and support, often before it was ever asked for. She was an extraordinary mother whose love was not only felt but deeply witnessed through her sacrifices, gentle guidance, and unwavering devotion to her family. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable ache, her love remains a steady flame that will never fade.
Family was the heartbeat of Rose’s life. She believed with her whole heart that family was life’s greatest treasure and lived that truth every day. She delighted in giving gifts big or small, not for recognition, but for the joy of making others feel cherished. Holidays were brighter, celebrations fuller, and even ordinary moments more meaningful when she was near. Her laughter filled rooms, her thoughtfulness lifted spirits, and her generous heart turned simple moments into priceless memories.
Rose built a distinguished career in banking that reflected her dedication and leadership. She began her career in 1983 at Texas Commerce Bank, which later transitioned to JPMorgan Chase. In 2003, she joined WestStar as a Teller, where her commitment and excellence led to steady advancement over 21 years. She retired in December 2024 as Senior Vice President, Wealth Management Officer. In 2013, she earned her Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix, an achievement she was deeply proud of.
Her love extended far beyond her home. Rose gave back to her community with humility and grace, serving on various boards, including Junior Achievement and Candlelighters of El Paso, and volunteering with the Annual WestStar Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational. She never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for making everyone she met feel like a friend.
For 49 beautiful years, Rose shared a life filled with love and partnership with her devoted husband, Larry Gonzalez. Together, they created a home rooted in warmth, laughter, and unwavering devotion. She was the proud mother of two children: her son, Jose Esteban Gonzalez (Steve), his wife Michelle, and their children Joshua, Kayla, Alyssa, and Isabella; and her daughter, Dianica M. Jaquez, her husband Javier, and their children Zoey and Caleb. Being a grandmother was one of Rose’s greatest joys, and her love for her grandchildren was deep, tender, and limitless.
Rose is also survived by her sister, Hilda Simental. She is now reunited in eternal peace with her father, Jose Juarez, mother, Benigna Gutierrez Juarez; her sister, Emma Rios; and her brothers, Richard Juarez and Pepito.
Though our hearts ache, we find comfort in knowing Rose now watches over her family with the same gentle care she gave so freely in life. Her spirit lives on in every life she touched, every kindness she shared, and every memory we hold close. Her love is our inheritance, everlasting, unbroken, and forever cherished.
