In loving memory, the Parker Boys will forever cherish the angel of their hearts. Roxanne Parker, 55, was called to heaven on January 31, 2026. After her third battle with cancer, our Lord and Savior decided it was time for peace. Roxanne, the beloved daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Heard, grew up traveling as a military child. Along with her brother Carlos Heard and Angela Stokes, she moved to El Paso at the age of 20. A devoted Christian, Roxanne spent her early 20s volunteering and ministering with her worship team, a joy she carried throughout her life.
Roxanne's career began as an MSW at FCLI La Tuna, where she established a drug treatment program that continues to help many today. She later transitioned to education for her son's safety, becoming the lead administrator in the special education department at YISD. Her greatest contribution was the heartfelt program known as Roxy’s Closet, providing clothing, toiletries, and household goods to families in need.
Though her heart was her greatest gift, her family was her greatest joy. She lovingly referred to her boys, her Marvins, as her world. Roxanne leaves behind her husband Marvin Leroy, her son Marvin Anderson, her brother Carlos Heard, Angela Heard, her parents Georgia and Andrew Heard, her Godson Nathan Dabichan, and many cherished friends. Roxanne, not a day will pass without thoughts of your beautiful smile. We will miss you dearly.
A memorial service will be held to honor Roxanne's life at the Worship Center, located at 4000 Hercules Ave., El Paso, Texas, 79904. The service is scheduled for February 15, 2026, at 3:00 pm.
Private Viewing is by invited family only.
