Ruben Marquez

Ruben Marquez, beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015 at the age of 76. Ruben is survived by his true love, Yolanda Marquez, their children, Liz Molina and her husband, Javier Molina, Ruben Marquez Jr. and his wife, Betty Marquez, as well as his 6 cherished grandchildren R.G.M., Elisa, Krystal, Gaby, Christian and Xavier and 6 ½ great grandchildren Lyric, Marley, Vincent, Scarlette, Mason and S.N.O. He is also survived by his loving sisters Elvira Bernal, Cuca Figueroa and Lupe Garcia and brother, Mike Marquez. Visitation will be held Monday, September 28th from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina with Vigil at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, September 29th at 9:30 AM at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 7424 Mimosa Avenue. Grandpa, you will be greatly missed but you will continue to live in our hearts. Our fondest memories are how he taught his grandchildren to fish, camp, how to play poker, Texas Hold ‘Em, 7 Card Stud, dominoes and chess. We know you are rejoicing with your loving family, your mother and father, brother and sisters in Heaven and will greet us all one day with open arms. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Services entrusted to Hillcrest Funeral Home.
