

Ray Valencia, 70 was a lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas. He was also a dedicated CASA volunteer advocating for the foster children of El Paso. Ray was a loving father and grandfather and great friend to many people throughout his life. After retiring from Southwestern Bell he dedicated time to his community, church, friends, and family. Ray was a true humanitarian giving back much more than he received. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 7563, St. Raphael’s Men Association and ACTS. We love you dearly and we will forever have you in our hearts. We miss you so much already, watch over us Dad and keep us safe until we are reunited with you in heaven. Lord replied, “My dear child, I love you and I would never leave you. During the times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set footprints, it was then that I carried you.” Footprints. He is survived by his children Michael A. Valencia and Kathie C. Valencia and grandchildren Dominic A. Valencia and Anaika E. Valencia Pando. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2013 at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2013 at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar Rd.
