EL Paso Texas- Rudolfo Chavez (Sustaita), 63, of El Paso Texas entered Gods’ arms as he accepted eternal rest on January 24, 2021. Rudy was a spiritual man and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Hobbs NM and served faithfully. He touched the lives of many through his warm, loving personality. He leaves a legacy of his unforgettable smile, avid Dallas Cowboy fan, love and memories that will forever be cherished by his family, friends and all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents Maria Ovelia Chavez (Perez), Jesus Chavez (stepfather), father, Angel Sustaita, brother John P. Lazos, stepbrother Angel Jr, sisters Lily Chavez, Mary Helen Boothe. Rudy is survived by his wife Maria Avita(Jasmine Moreno ,Ikerr) Children Cristina M. Chavez, Andrea C Rodriguez (Eric), Joanna Chavez (Sonia), nephews, nieces and grandchildren, Siblings Daniel Chavez (Dee), Mary Carmen Chavez Holguin (Bobbie), Eliseo (Sal) Chavez, Stepbrother Victor, Stepsisters Maria Meadows, Veronica Sotelo, Hilda Borunda. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the Sierra Medical Center personnel’s kindness shown to our love one during this time. A memorial and celebration of his Life will be scheduled at a time when all family and friends can once again gather in safety. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Knights of Columbus. Due to COVID-19 services will be private and limited. Funeral services provided by Hillcrest Funeral Homes – East on Friday, February 5th from 12:00 – 2:00 and will be livestreamed on Facebook.
