Sergio O Silva

Sergio was born August 16, 1956 to Hector and Irma (Tinajero) Silva in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua. Sergio lived his rambunctious young life in El Paso with his six siblings, Hector, Fernando, Alfonso, Alma Socorro, Adalberto, and Omar, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In 1975 he graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and went on to serve in the United States Air Force from 1976 to 1980. After leaving the Air Force he attended the University of Texas at El Paso. Sergio worked as an electrician most of his life and was an active member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Sergio was strong-willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He was generous, loyal and brave. He will be remembered for the heart he shared with his close-knit family. He will be dearly missed.

Sergio was preceded in death by his Mother and Father. He is survived by sons Aaron and Sergio, and by all his brothers and sister. He leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.

A Memorial Service for Sergio will be held Friday, August 9, 2024 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Funeraria Del Angel Hillcrest West, 5054 Doniphan Dr., El Paso, Texas 79932, with a Celebration of Life beginning at 5:00pm.
