“Courage is being afraid but going on the journey anyhow” - John Wayne
Butch was born in El Paso, TX and was the only child of Mildred Mansfield Crowder & Clifford Crowder and part of the very first graduating class of Ysleta High School in 1960. He was a hot rod fanatic in every sense of the word and loved working on cars as much as competing. He eventually became well known as a local racing legend. Besides racing, his favorite pastimes were watching old Western movies (especially with John Wayne) & cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.
He will be best remembered by those who loved him, as a man of strong character with charisma and magnetism, who instilled the values of strong work ethic, courage, consistency and organization in his children.
Butch is survived by his three children, Shayne Crowder (Randi Beth), Shanon Crowder Stanberry (Stan) and Shaun Crowder (Joy). Also, his seven grandchildren, Jenae McCrossen (Sean) Alexandra Perez, Kylie Crowder, Tristan Crowder, Hunter Crowder, Spencer Crowder II & Micah Crowder and two great grandchildren, Maddex McCrossen & Jett McCrossen.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.FunerariaDelAngelKM.com for the CROWDER family.
