With profound sadness, the family of Susan Dawson of El Paso, Texas, announces her passing on January 29, 2026, at the age of 78. Known as Sue to most, and SuSu to her loved ones, she was born in Cleveland and raised in El Paso. Sue was a graduate of Bel Air High School and a member of the Bel Air Bagpipe Band. Her relationship to the members of that group lasted throughout her Life. Sue continued to play music after graduation. Many El Pasoans remember her as the lead female singer of the highly popular local band The Sojourners.

her legacy of love and resilience.
