Sylvia was born on October 7, 1960, in El Paso, Texas, to Julio and Carmen Diaz. She attended Riverside High School, where she formed many lifelong friendships that she cherished throughout the years.
In 1978, fate brought Sylvia to her faithful and dedicated husband, Luis Beltran, at a local grocery store, Furrs. What began as a simple meeting blossomed into a beautiful love story that spanned 47 devoted years. They were married on November 2, 1978, building a life rooted in faith, loyalty, and unconditional love.
Together, Sylvia and Luis created a loving home and welcomed their first daughter, Melynda, on April 5, 1985, followed by their second daughter, Danielle, on May 31, 1990. Sylvia was the heart of her family. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing and selfless mother, and the steady source of comfort and strength her daughters could always rely on. Her love was constant, her advice heartfelt, and her hugs healing.
Nothing brought Sylvia more joy than her granddaughters, Emma and Lauren. She adored them beyond measure, treasuring every laugh, every story, and every moment spent together. Being their “Nana” was one of her greatest blessings.
Sylvia had a rare gift: she could make friends anywhere she went. Her kindness, sense of humor, and genuine interest in others left lasting impressions on all who knew her. She loved gathering with family and friends, sharing meals, laughter, and memories. She especially enjoyed her time at the casino, where her playful spirit and bright smile were just as memorable as her lucky streaks.
Sylvia is survived by her devoted husband, Luis; her loving daughters, Melynda and her husband Eric, and Danielle and her husband Mathew; and her cherished granddaughters, Emma and Lauren. She also leaves behind her beloved mother, siblings and countless extended family members and dear friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Though our hearts are broken and words cannot fully express the depth of our loss, we find comfort in knowing that Sylvia now rests peacefully in the presence of the Lord. Her love remains woven into the fabric of our lives, guiding us, strengthening us, and reminding us every day of the beautiful woman she was.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten
