Valentin Mercado

April 5, 2015 at the age of 88 Valentin V. Mercado beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by the family and loved ones. He was a dedicated family man to his many children and grandchildren. He will unite with his son Pedro Mercado and is survived by his loving wife, daughters and sons. Wife: Eulalia Mercado; Daughters: Guadalupe Mercado, Margarita Rodriguez (Luis), Bertha Olivares (Bobby), Ofelia Melendez (Pete), Martha Parga (Victor), Elsa Mercado, Christy Ayala (Alfredo). Sons: Valentin Mercado Jr. (Cristi), Miguel Mercado. Grandchildren: Gabriel Mercado, Pedro I. Mercado, Cesar Mercado, Alfredo Mercado, Jesus I. Ortega, Veronica Rodriguez, Jose Luis Rodriguez, Miguel Angel Rodriguez, Joey Duran, Patricia Duran, Isabel Chavez, Lorenzo Olivarez, Oscar Melendez, Lilia C. Favela, Vanessa, Jessica, Monica, Victor Parga, Maxine, Marlene, Sofia, Juan Manuel Mercado, Isabella Gonzales, Jessika Ayala. Along with 47 great grandchildren that adore him. “He has only left his body, but will forever live in our hearts”. Pallbearers: Valentin Jr., Miguel, Alfredo A., Jesus, Jose Luis (Maggie), Pedro I (Pete). Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be at 10 am on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
