Yolanda C Lopez

Yolanda Marestein Lopez born October 17, 1938, was called into her eternal home on April 11, 2021, at the age of 82. She was welcomed into Heaven by her son Mark, parents Joseph and Consuelo Marestein, brother Joseph Marestein, sisters Grace Atkins, Tillie and Gloria Marestein and son-in- law Richard Simmons. Left to cherish her memory is her loving, devoted husband of 61 years Alex Lopez, sons Jerry (Cindy), Rick (Amanda) , and Tim (Adriana), and daughter Iris (+Richard) Simmons; grandchildren Ariel, Tim II, Matt, Amaya and Diego and one great grandchild Bradley; sisters Dolores Quinones and Iris Marquez, sister-in-law Lupe Marestein, as well as numerous nieces and nephews that loved her dearly. Yolanda made a lasting impression on all those she met throughout her life especially the friends she kept in contact with from her Alma Mater, Ysleta High School Class of 1957 through Facebook. She was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish where she served as member of the Altar Society. A Rosary will be held on Saturday May 8th ,2021 at our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church at 9 am with a Funeral Mass at 10 am. A Committal Service will follow at Mt Carmel Cemetery. All COVID-19 restrictions will be enforced.
