

Annette Marie (Cecil) Pullen lost her battle with cancer on Friday, 4/4/25, at Baptist Health Hospital, Elizabethtown, Ky 42701. Ms. Pullen was best known for her commitment to the students and fellow teachers at Elizabethtown High School for 28 years, medically retiring in 2023. Ms. Pullen completed her Masters Degree in Teaching at Western Kentucky University in August, 1997, achieving her Rank I with the Kentucky Teachers Association. Ms. Pullen was a long-term parishioner at St. James Catholic Church in Elizabethtown.
Anne Pullen was born on 10/11/63, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the youngest of five children. She graduated from Campbellsville High School in1981. Anne was an Honor Society Student receiving a certificate for attendance, not missing a day of class for 12 years. Anne was the first woman sewing machine mechanic during the early 1980’s at Union Underwear. Anne worked at Dow Corning while attending the University of Louisville where she was a Golden Key Honor Society member. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science, May of 1994. Anne was athletic, running in many marathons with her good friend Martha Monday, over the years. Anne was adventuresome and enjoyed hiking, climbing, playing softball, water skiing and travelling. Anne was always happy and ready for any adventures with her family or friends. Anne was a giving person, always there for her family and friends when an additional hand was needed.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Paul O. and Shirley K. Cecil of Campbellsville. She is survived by three older brothers and a sister; David and Sheila Cecil, Florence, Ky; Sandy and Gregg Parent of Campbellsville Ky; Greg and Sherry Cecil, of Franklin, Ky; Dale Cecil and Jaclyn of Glenn Ellen, Ca; five grandchildren, Trent, Gavin, Zach, Tyler Pullen and Jesse Cross; several nieces and nephews including Brandon and Shelbi Lobb of Chicago, IL; Michael Lobb and Pinky Cicmanec and son Oliver Lobb, Erlanger, Ky; Gracelyn Sheets, Hillsboro, Oh; MSG Paul Alexander and CPT Logan England and son Cole, Greenville, Ky; Veronica and John Lobb, and Kade England of Louisville, Ky; Lauren Paige Cecil, Atlanta, Ga; Chad and Amanda Haynes, sons and daughter Arik and Karla, Wesley and Adrianna, and Rebecca Haynes, all of Auburn, Ky; Jesse and Jordan Agricula and Autumn Cecil all of California.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 14, 11:00 am, at St. James Catholic Church, 307 West Dixie Avenue, Elizabethtown. Serving as pallbearers will be Trent Pullen, Alexander England, Kade England, Gregg Parent, Roy Ice, Don Fulford. Alan Browning and Buddy Archer are Honorary Pallbearers.
Visitation will be at Brown Funeral Home, 306 College Street, Elizabethtown, on Sunday, April 13, from 12 Noon – 6:00 P.M. Visitors on Sunday are encouraged to wear Hawaiian attire.
