Barbara Shirley Key

She was a native of Edmonson County and a member of Gilead Baptist Church.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Newton Key; parents, Milton and Maude Smith McCombs; nine siblings; and one great-granddaughter.

Survivors include her five children, Markita (Steve) Conner, Kimmy (Laura) Key of Gainesville, TX, Jeff (Mary) Key of Glendale, Cely (Tommy) Williams of Elizabethtown, and Kyle Key of Alexandria, VA; one brother, Gil McCombs of LaGrange; and thirteen grandchildren, Ashlee Tomes, Alaena Petersen, Afton Proffitt, Katie Montgomery, Kelly Key, Jessie Key, Shelby Key, Guy Williams, Jett Williams, Lucy Key, Kaelan Key, Konrad Key, and Patricia Key; and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral is Saturday at 11 a.m. at Gilead Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Bell officiating.

Burial follows in Gilead Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and continues after 9 a.m. Saturday all at the church.
