Charles "Charlie" Wayne Drake

He was born on October 18, 1959 in Hardin County, Kentucky to James Carroll and Virginia Davis Drake.

Charlie was a member of Blue Ball Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as a deacon and was involved in many of the church functions over the years. He enjoyed jeeps, University of Kentucky basketball, Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs baseball, and Green Bay Packers football.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Shartzer Drake; one son, Bradley Wayne Drake; his father, James Carroll Drake; and one infant sister, Carol Ann Drake.

Survivors include his mother, Virginia Davis Drake; one daughter, Rachel Drake; three brothers, James Richard (Karen) Drake, Glen Edward (Virgie) Drake, and Gary Lee (Tonya) Drake; one sister, Connie (Larry) Leasor; one grandson, Jase Wayne Drake; and a host of family and friends.

The funeral will be at 2 pm on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Blue Ball Baptist Church with Pastor Glen Cornett officiating.

Burial follows in Blue Ball Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation begins at 12 pm Noon Friday and continues until the time of the service at the church.

A meal will follow after the services.
