Christopher Aaron Ashlock

Christopher Aaron Ashlock, age 61, passed away on January 10, 2026, at Baptist Hardin Hospital in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Born on January 14, 1964, Chris was raised in Sonora, Kentucky, a place that always remained close to his heart.

Chris devoted 41 years to his career as a cosmetologist, building not only a successful business but a lasting legacy at Chris’ Hair Studio in Elizabethtown. Through his work, he touched countless lives, forming meaningful relationships with clients who became friends and extended family.

Outside of his profession, Chris found his greatest joy in fishing, which was his favorite pastime and a true source of peace and happiness for him.

Chris is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie. In September, Chris and Debbie would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary, a testament to the deep love, devotion, and life they built together. He is also survived by his cherished dogs, Lilly and Ginger, who were a constant source of comfort and companionship.

He is further survived by his parents, Lee and June Ashlock; his brother, Jeff Ashlock; and several nieces and nephews.

Chris built many meaningful friendships over the years and will be missed by countless people. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome, and everybody loved Chris. He will be remembered for his dedication, creativity, kindness, and the warmth he shared with everyone who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed.
