David Ray Black, of Elizabethtown, KY, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 10,2025, at the age of 76. He was born in Hardinsburg, KY to the late Raymond Black and Francis Robertson Black.
David retired as an industrial electrician from Dow Corning. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He is known for his abundant love for his family, especially his grandchildren and cruisin’ in his Corvette.
David is survived by the mother of his child, Myra Powell; daughter, Lanissa (Michael) Elmore; grandchildren, Tyler (Lexi) Elmore and Britton (Becca) Elmore; great-grandchild, Teddy; great grandchild on the way, Brendan David; brother, Kenny; honorary brother, Stevie Dixon; sister, Brenda (Roger) Simmons; niece, Kim Colwell; nephew, Jimmy Simmons; great niece, Kaylee Simmons.
The funeral will be held at Brown Funeral Home on Thursday, April 17,2025, at 5:00 P.M. and visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until time of service.
