He was a native of Columbia, South Carolina and retired from Ford Motor Company as an Industrial Engineer. He was a member of College Heights Church, Seekers Sunday School, and was a Mason and Shriner.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Fred B Rogers, Sr. and Margie Smith Rogers; and one son, Ritchie Lee Thompson.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Jeanette Puckett Rogers of Elizabethtown; one daughter, Sheryl (Ricky) Meredith of Buffalo; two sons, Michael (Shirley) Rogers and Mark (Linda) Rogers, both of Michigan; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
The funeral is at 12 p.m. Noon on Friday, August 30, 2024 at College Heights Church in Elizabethtown with Rev. Don Cox and Rev. Neil Janes officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 29th from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown and continues after 11 a.m. Friday at College Heights Church.
Burial is in Valley Creek Church Cemetery following the service at the church.
