Born on June 17, 1936, in Tennessee, she lived a life filled with faith, love, and devotion to her family and community.
For 68 years, Georgia was the beloved wife of Vince Rose. As a dedicated military wife, she embraced the challenges and adventures of moving across the country and around the world. No matter where the military took their family, she created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love. She had a remarkable ability to turn every house into a place of comfort and joy, ensuring her children always felt safe and cherished despite the constant changes of military life.
Together, she and Vince raised four wonderful children: Virginia, David, Vivian, and Daniel. Her greatest joy was her family, and she poured her heart into being a grandmother to Chris, Logan, Corey, Megan, Kinsey, Danica, Sam, Stella, and Emma, as well as a cherished great-grandmother to many.
Georgia had a passion for writing and contributed to the Glendale Christian Church Bulletin, sharing her faith and wisdom with her church community. She had a gift for making the everyday special - teaching her grandchildren how to climb fences, taking them on shopping trips, going for walks down to the bridge, and spending summer afternoons swimming in the pool. She created a childhood full of joy, adventure, a deep love, leaving behind memories that her family will treasure forever.
She was a devoted sister to Joe Bob and Leroy and carried with her the love and lessons of her parents, Elsie and Bennett Harris.
Georgia's kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Her legacy is one of faith, family, and the countless lives she touched with her warmth and generosity.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, on Saturday, May 10, 2025, with visitation at 10:00 A.M. and funeral to follow at 1:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Alzheimer's Association. Contributions can be made online at www.alz.org.
Her love was a guiding light, and though she is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to shine through the lives of those she loved.
