Harold Loyd Garrett, born on July 10, 1932, in Hooks, Texas, to Rufus "Bud" Garrett and Virginia Hill, passed away on November 29, 2025, at the age of 93. Harold was a resident of Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
An Army veteran of the Korean War, Harold Loyd Garrett served his country with honor and distinction. Beyond his military service, he found success as an entrepreneur and business owner. He was also a member of First Christian Church in Elizabethtown, and took every opportunity to witness and pray for people he came in contact with. Harold was also known for his love of golf, a pastime he cherished throughout his life.
Harold is survived by his three children: Mark Somers (Patrice), Tom Garrett (Connie), and Charles Garrett (Rita).
A memorial service will be held to honor Harold on Friday, January 16th, at 4 PM, at First Christian Church in Elizabethtown. Guests are invited to visit from 2PM to 4 PM on Friday at the church.
