

He was a native of Jefferson County, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a retired minister for Church of God of Prophecy. He formerly worked at Fort Knox Civil Service and was a lover of animals and bluegrass music.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gracie Fite Jenkins; a grandson, James Robert Riser; his parents, George and Myrtle Jenkins; and siblings, Carlie Jenkins, George Jenkins, Herman Jenkins, David Jenkins, Margaret Riggs, and Alpha Stillwell.
Survivors include his daughter, Sharon (Richard) Davis of Elizabethtown; two brothers, Floyd and Noah Jenkins; and one sister, Levorn Graham.
The funeral is Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
Burial will follow in Brackett Cemetery in Upton.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continues after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
