
He was a native of Hardin County, served in the United States Army and retired as a Railroad Foreman for CSX Railroad. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howell Edgar and Oma Lee Hutchinson Jenkins; two brothers, Hobert Jenkins and Willard Jenkins.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marlene Benner Jenkins; a son, Troy (Margie) Jenkins of Elizabethtown; two daughters, Debra Jenkins and Kimberly Jenkins both of Cecilia; three sisters, Geraldine (Earl) Davis and Wilma Thompson both of Louisville and Faye Humphries of Hodgenville; ten grandchildren, Johnathon (Sara), Joshua, Sarah, Kristen, Ashley, Jessica, Matthew, Megan (Stephen), Emily and Abigail; and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home with Bros. Herb Beeler and Eddie Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Sonora Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continue after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
