He was a native of Sonora and retired civil service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Ruth Grimes Hornback and a sister-in-law, Andrea Hornback.
Survivors include his two children, Crystal Gail Hornback and Stephen Wayne Hornback both of Radcliff; a brother, Leon Hornback of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Kathy (Jim) Gabbard of Elizabethtown and Connie (Paul) Curtsinger of Glendale and several nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Roger McGuffin officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 10-1 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
