James "Jim" Wesley Keplinger

Jim was born on September 11th, 1949, in Elizabethtown, to the late Carl Wesley and Stella Louise Vessels Keplinger.

He was a devoted member at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and known as an outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and coaching multiple little league sports teams. He also served as a Mason and a Gideon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Melanie Keplinger; and a sister, Doris Mae Keplinger.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Judy Catherine Reed Keplinger; children, David (Chandra) Keplinger, Wesley Allan, Scott (Missy) Keplinger, Jason Keplinger; grandchildren, Corey, Kyle, Alyssa, Jason Jr., Kristin; and six great-grandchildren; siblings, Dennis (Sheila) Keplinger, Anita (Mike) Thomas, Dale Keplinger, Kevin Keplinger; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be Wednesday, January 22nd, 11:00 A.M. at Brown Funeral Home, 306 College Street, Elizabethtown, with Bro. Mike Walker to officiate. Burial will follow in Jenkins Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 21st, from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. and again on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service, all at Brown Funeral Home.
