

Jim was born on January 17th, 1950, in Rineyville, Kentucky, to the late James David and Doris Jean Duncan Miller.
He was a devoted member and Elder at Fair Farm Baptist Church. He was retired from Kevin Lucas Trucking after more than 30 years of service. More recently, he was a favorite fixture at Rural King, where he was lovingly known as Grandpa. He was known for his love of people and animals. He always had a story or joke for everyone, never meeting a stranger. He had a big heart and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Miller.
He is survived by his wife of almost 32 years, Karen Miller; children, Weslene Dillard (Bruce), Jamie Miller (Sara), Jodie Miller; grandchildren, Mara Kolke (Peter), Bryce Dillard, Kodie Miller (Amber), Logan Miller, Bentley Miller, Courtney Miller (Jacob), Charissa Constant (Brandon), Brooke Martin (Deshun); sister, Sherry Miller (Gene); special nieces and nephews, Michael Miller, Valerie Bailey, Jacob Miller, Madi Bailey; his favorite “Tater Bug”, great-grandchild, Charlotte Kolke; he was also blessed with several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 20th, at 11:00 A.M. at Brown Funeral Home, 306 College Street, Elizabethtown, Kentucky, with Bro. Kenny Merritt to officiate. Burial to follow in Howe Valley Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 19th, from 2:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. and again on Monday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service, all at Brown Funeral Home.
