

Jerry Lee Clan, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and community member, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at the age of 69. Born on March 18, 1955, in Elizabethtown, KY, Jerry lived a fulfilling life dedicated to his family, work, and community.
In his early adult life, Jerry briefly worked at Union Steel, from 1973 -1975. From 1975 to 1984, most of his professional career, Jerry worked at Nolin RECC as a lineman, where he formed lasting relationships with his colleagues and served his community with dedication and integrity until he was injured in a work-related accident which shortened his career.
In addition to his work, Jerry was also a member of The United Methodist Church, Hardin County Sportsman's Club, National Wild Turkey Federation, Wheelin Sportsman, Outdoors Without Limits, Adaptive Sportsmen of Kentucky, and a Phi Beta Lambda alumni, serving as president from 1987 to 1989. He earned an associate degree in business management from Elizabethtown State Vocational School, highlighting his commitment to education and personal growth.
Outside of work, Jerry was an avid farmer and hunter who found solace and joy in helping others. He also liked fishing, boating, John Deere equipment, tractor pulls, farm machinery shows, UK basketball, long country drives, steak dinners, Coca-Cola, mowing grass and spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, diligence, passion for the outdoors and love of family.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Sue Blanton (Tom) and his son, Jason Lee Clan (Jodi) along with his nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Anna Faye Dye (Bobby) and brothers: Dennis, Larry (Liz), Lonnie (Cindy), Martie (Leslee) and Scottie (Angel) and sister-in-law, Mary. He is preceded in death by parents - Artie Lee and Doris Marie Clan along with his brother Alvin and sister-in-law Barbara.
A memorial service will be held in honor of Jerry Lee Clan at Brown's Funeral Home in Elizabethtown on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 12:00 PM. The public viewing is from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America Kentucky chapter (https://www.kipva.org/) in Jerry's memory.
Jerry will be deeply missed but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he now run with the angels and forever be in peace.
