Joyce Thomas

Joyce was a proud member of St. James Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Garland and Lucille Thomas; beloved spouse of 38 years, David Tweddell; son, Kimberly Russell Ray, sister, Carolyn Gray; brothers, Garland Thomas Jr., Francis Eugene Thomas, and Charles Thomas.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mark Wayne Ray (Kristen Simmons), Chris Robin Ray (Mollie Autry), Anetta Conder (Samson), Benny Joe Patton Jr.; step daughter, Rebecca Lawrence (Ray); grandchildren, Justin Pellman (Breanna Elliott), Brieanna Kallenberg (Shawn Henderson), Ashlee Ray (Jeremy Kenny), Jordan and Caitlyn Inman, Jacob Inman, Jessica Inman, Jaden Inman, Benny Patton III, Wyatt Ray, Jax Conder; step grandchild, Amy Lawrence; great-great grandchildren, Odin Inman, Xavier Elliott, Zayden Elliott, Carter Henderson; siblings, Wanda Plank (Lee), Kenny Thomas (Sharon); and her ex-husband, Charles Russell Ray.

Visitation for Joyce will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025 from 4pm – 8pm at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, KY. A Funeral Mass will occur on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 11am at St. James Catholic Church.
