

Julia “Judy” M. Bush, of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 29th, 2025, at the redeemed age of 86. Judy was born to the late Rosamond Barmore and Wilbur Bewley on September 4th, 1939, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. She graduated from Rineyville School in 1957. After graduating, she attended Western Kentucky University and Elizabethtown Community and Technical College. On December 20th, 1958, she married her late husband, William “Pete” Bush.
Judy spent 28 years working in civil service on Fort Knox and 14 years as a devoted Sunday school teacher at Severns Valley Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending her time working on newspaper puzzles and serving her community by knitting and donating over 100 lap throws, donating blood through the Red Cross, singing in her church choir, and making music any way she could.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Rosamond Barmore and Wilbur Bewley; a sister, Doris Nall; a brother, Glen Bewley; and her devoted husband, Pete, of 61 years.
She is survived by her son, Douglas (Judith) of Lincoln, Nebraska; two daughters, Denise of Elizabethtown and Diana (Jeff) of Beaver Creek, Ohio; three grandsons, Aaron (Stephanie), David, and Tyler, all of Lincoln, Nebraska; two granddaughters, Candis (Maria) of Radcliff, Kentucky, and Elanor of Athens, Ohio; three great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; three sisters, Ann (Eddie) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Janet (Richard) of Mount Washington, and Peggy (Leon) of Elizabethtown; three brothers, Donnie (Edith) of Elizabethtown, Jerry (Gloria) of Churchill, Tennessee, and Junior (Sandra) of Nicholasville; and all of those she touched along her journey through life.
Visitation will be on December 3rd, 2025, at Brown Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., continuing on December 4th, 2025, from 10 a.m. until service time. The funeral will be held on December 4th, 2025, at the funeral home at 11 a.m.
