

Julia is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Kathleen McCamish and Regina LaFollette, and brothers Joe Marion Foushee, Tommy Foushee, John Louis Foushee, Larry Foushee, Frank Foushee, and Martin Foushee.
Julia graduated from Spalding University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She earned her Masters Degree in Education from Western Kentucky University, after which she attained a Rank 1 certificate in teaching. She became an elementary school teacher and taught at both Lincoln Trail Elementary School and Saint James School in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
Julia married the love of her life, Ronnie Michael Williams, on December 19th, 1970, and together they celebrated 54 years of marriage and had two children.
Julia was a talented gardener and loved being outdoors. She loved tending to her flower beds and growing vegetables and fruits. She and Ronnie took up scuba diving, and their diving travels led them to Honduras, Bon Air, and throughout Mexico. After their retirement, she and Ronnie became snowbirds from 2001 to 2020. They enjoyed camping and traveling and spent their winters in Long Point, Florida where they also enjoyed blue crab, bicycling, fishing, and the wonderful friends they met there.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband Ronnie Williams; children Jennifer Streater (Brent), and Michael Williams; grandchildren William Shepherd, Amelia Shepherd, Evan Shepherd, Wyatt Shepherd, Layla Williams, and Lucas Williams; brothers Steven Foushee and David Foushee; sisters Rose Sarver, Martha Jones, and Marietta Mullins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15th at 10 am at Saint James Catholic Church, 307 West Dixie Ave. Elizabethtown, Kentucky with a Mass of Christian burial to follow at 11 am. A graveside service will be held at Saint James Cemetery following Mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Julia’s name may be made to Saint Vincent de Paul or Hosparus Health in Elizabethtown.
