Karen Virginia Nichols

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Karen was a member of Union Christian Church and also worked a Hardin Memorial Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Howard Phillips Sr. and Myrtle Virginia Haynes; one son, William Kevin Nichols; a brother, James Phillips; and two sisters, Irma Bryant and Esther Miron.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Charles Leslie Nichols; two sons, Russell Nichols of Sacramento and Travis (Carrie Bowen-Nichols) Nichols of Elizabethtown; one daughter, Linda (Charles) Nichols-Burden of Shepherdsville; one brother, Charlie Phillips Jr.; three sisters, Clara McCourt, Loretta Hall, and Nancy Conlin.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Steve Campbell officiating. Burial follows in Valley Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2023 at the funeral home and continue after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
