Larry Lee Parshley

Larry graduated from Shawnee High School in Louisville. Upon graduation he served in the Army, spending 2 years in Vietnam during the war. He retired from Jefferson County Schools as a bus mechanic. Larry was a member of St James Catholic Church and a charter member of Elizabethtown Elk Lodge #2891.

He was preceded in passing by his mother, Dorothy Smith; grandmother, Eva Christine Frame; sister, Wanda DeWeese (Eugene); grandchildren, Sky Marie and Steven Carr; and brother-in-law, Joseph Perry, Jr.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Peg Perry Parshley; children, Bryon Parshley (Jana), Sarah Edlin, Joseph Edlin, and Andrew Edlin (Tori); grandchildren, Reese, Hayley, Mary, Briar, Zander, Finleigh, Colsen.

Mass will be held at St James Catholic Church on Friday, April 25,2025 at 11 AM, officiated by Father Casey Sanders who was also Larry’s Godfather. Visitation will be Thursday, April 24,2025 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
