Nell McKenney Goodman

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Nell was a teacher and formerly taught in a one room school house. She was a member of Cecilia Baptist Church for many years where she was very active in church and was a former nursery director. Nell was also a member of Cecilia Homemakers Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Broadus and Vera McKenney and a sister, Jean Thornsberry.

She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Earl "Bill" Goodman of Elizabethtown; two sons, Kenney (Julie Smith) Goodman and Michael (Terri) Goodman, all of Elizabethtown; two grandchildren, Casey (Megan) Goodman and Clay (Emily) Goodman; and four great-grandchildren, Lane, Jack, Haddie, and Hayes.

The funeral is 11 A.M. Friday at Cecilia Baptist Church with Bro. Erdie Carter, Jr. and Bro. Donnie Davis officiating. Burial is private.

Visitation is 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. Thursday and continues after 9 A.M. Friday at Cecilia Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cecilia Baptist Church or your favorite charity.
