Richard Ray Smallwood

Richard was known for his love of "Old Country" music and his remarkable ability to solve problems with anything. He had a passion for riding his motorcycle and enjoyed all activities involving the outdoors. Above all, Richard cherished spending time with his family, friends, and grandbabies, who loved going on gator rides with him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Berley Smallwood, and his brother, Clinton Smallwood.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Rebecca "Becky" Smallwood; his son, Justin Smallwood and wife Sarah; his grandchildren, Sybrina Hays and Roselynn Hays; his step-grandchildren, Gary Pole IV and Alayna Hays; his siblings, Harvey Smallwood, Michael Smallwood, Ruby Smallwood, Ollie Smallwood, Sara Whithworth, and Mary Smallwood. Richard is also remembered fondly by his very good friends, "Pops" William Johnson and "Ma, that was also called the Grinch" Betty Johnson.

Visitation will be held at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, KY, on February 9, 2026, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm at the same location. Burial will take place at North Grandview Church Cemetery on the same day.

Richard will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
