Robert L. Day

A native of Hardin County, he was a member of Tunnel Hill Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, song leader and Sunday School teacher. He was also a member of Morrison Masonic Lodge 76 F and AM and former member of the Hardin County School Board. He was a 1940 graduate of Rineyville High School and a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Elizabeth Day; a son, Jerry Day; his parents, Barney and Clara Mae Miller Day; a brother, Faurest Day and a son-in-law, Shannon Campbell.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Doris Campbell of Elizabethtown and Kathy (Alan) Mose of Webster, NY; a son, Danny (Rita) Day of Elizabethtown; 7 grandchildren, Sarah (Lance) Bradstreet, Jeffrey (Samantha) Campbell, Philip (Kim) Campbell, Chad (Darla) Day, Kelly (Danny) Cecil, Lori (Hobie) Cream, and Cayce (Chris) Odle; and 12 great grandchildren.

The funeral will be Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 11:00 am at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Josh Looten officiating. Burial will follow at Hardin Memorial Park.

Visitation is Tuesday, October 11 from 4:00-8:00 pm and Wednesday after 9:00 am at the funeral home.
