

His career was marked by distinguished service in the military. He served in combat during Vietnam as part of the Special Forces and was an airplane mechanic and a safety instructor. With vast experience in aviation, he worked his way up through the ranks to Master Sergeant (MSG). He was a proud member of the 101st Airborne Unit and attended the Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Academy. Throughout his career, he earned many awards and battle medals.
Bob was a great mentor to his subordinates and had a passion for hunting and fishing. His career took him all over the world. He touched many people's lives along the way.
He was preceded in passing by his son, Daniel Marlow. He is survived by his wife, Eva Marlow-Bott; his son, Ferdinand Marlow; daughters, Marie-Lynn Marlow, Ruth-Anne Marlow, and Lorraine Stella; his sister, Cathy Ford; and all of Eva's family in Germany. He leaves behind 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
A memorial visitation will be held at Brown Funeral Home, located at 306 College St., Elizabethtown, Kentucky, on December 4, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at the same venue on December 5, 2025, at 11:00 am. Bob will be laid to rest at the Kentucky Veteran Cemetery Central.
