He was a native of Hardin County, served in the United States Army, and was a self-employed handyman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Eva Cofer Wise.
He is survived by his significant other, Mary Haire of Elizabethtown; daughter, Rebecca (David) Pense of Corydon, Kentucky; brother, Ron (Marsha) Wise of Leitchfield; and six grandchildren.
His funeral is Saturday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Brother John Hamler officiating. Burial follows in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
