Valena Simcox France

She was a native o Monterey, TN, a member of Oakland Baptist Church in Oakland, KY and a retired insurance agent. She was a very religious person, always ready to lend a helping hand and serve people. Valena was quick witted, sassy, tough, kind and generous but most of all, she was a woman of God who took pride in what she was doing.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Albert Jack France; her grandson, Bryan Stith; great grandchild, Kendra Fizer; her parents, Hubert and Dora Hall Simcox and two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Stith of Smiths Grove and Rebekah France of Vine Grove; one son, G. Jack France of Nashville; one brother, Vardon Simcox of Chattanooga, TN; six grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be at 12 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Oakland Baptist Church in Oakland, KY. Visitation will be from 9 to 12 p.m. at the church.

Burial will follow in Ridge Springs Cemetery in Rineyville.
