He was a native of Green County, owned a service station and wrecker company and worked for Gordon Foods. He was a member of the Morrison Masonic Lodge #76 and was a shriner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Larkin Puckett; a step ston, Warren Delmar French and a brother Clell Puckett and sister Rosie Puckett..
He is survived by his niece, Doris (Bill) Simpson of Louisville; 3 step grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
