

Natalie K. Wagner, 94, of Traverse City, formerly of Kewadin, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Munson Hospice House. Natalie was born July 27, 1922 in Detroit, Michigan to Stanislaus and Barbara (Mielejko) Kolpus. She married Benedict Jacobs on June 5, 1948, in Detroit.
Natalie loved the outdoors, spending time with Ben hunting, fishing and skiing. She and Ben also built their first house in Southfield, MI. She spent her career initially with the Budd Company as a Nurse’s assistant and office administrator and finished her career in the publishing industry before retiring. Natalie was full of life and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved baking, doing crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Elaine (James) Woodfield of Springhill, FL and Wayne (Jacqueline) Jacobs of Annandale, VA; three grandchildren, Jillian, Christine, and Colleen.
Natalie was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Ben Jacobs; second husband Frank Wagner; and brother, Edward Kolpus.
A Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals took place Tuesday, May 2, 2017 with visitation one hour prior at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elk Rapids with Rev. Robert J. Zuchowski presiding. Burial took place immediately following the service at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Kewadin.
Memorial contributions in honor of Natalie were made to Munson Hospice, 1105 Sixth St., Traverse City, MI 49684.
Arrangements were entrusted to Covell Funeral Home of Elk Rapids.
