Barbara “Bobbie” Holsey, 88, died peacefully at her home on Friday, September 29, 2023 surrounded by family. She was born August 30,1935 in Baltimore City, Maryland to parents Frank and Mary Moore. She was the beloved wife of the late Andrew Holsey, Aunt to Dar Taylor (Bill) and Bill Hopkins (Linda), mother of Dave Holsey (Colleen) and Brad Holsey (Jennie), grandmother of Brandon Holsey (Nicole) and Chad Holsey, grandmother-in-love to Kelly Emerson and great-grandmother to Branson, Bella and Daxton Holsey and Kai Bellas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and friends that she considered family.
She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Burke Moore (Mary), Helen Riddell (Richard), Faye Moore, Earl Moore (Nan), Pat Voland (Ronald) and William Moore (Shirley).
Bobbie was a true nurturer and dedicated her life to caring for others. Her family members were her most precious jewels and she found great happiness in spending time with them. She enjoyed preparing family meals, especially on Sundays, and always made enough to feed a small army. She opened her home to all who crossed her threshold, and she had a truly special way of making even strangers feel welcome. Bobbie will especially be remembered for her kind heart, sweet laugh and infamous homemade mashed potatoes.
