Betty Jean McDonald

After a very lengthy illness, Betty Jean McDonald departed this life on Saturday, June 4, 2016.

She was a loving wife to Larry McDonald for nearly fifty years and a loving and devoted mother to her two daughters: Cindy Wilford and her husband Michael and Pam Houtz and her husband Kenneth.

She was a loving and caring grandmother to Michael Wilford, Jacquelyn Lu and her husband David, Gabriel Wilford and his wife Laura, Ashley Houtz, Katrina Houtz and her fiancé Ian, and Christen Houtz. Betty was also a very proud and loving great grandmother to four: Elijah Lu, Madeline Lu, Lucia Wilford, and Baby Lu.

She was the daughter of Lester Hitt and Doris Hitt, deceased. She was sister to Patricia Finck, Delores Beck, Otis Hitt, Claudia Welk, Robin Breeden, and Stephen Hitt.

All of her family and extended family were very important to her and she loved them all very much.

Her faith in God was paramount in her life. Her trust in His loving care was what strengthened her to walk through all the difficult moments in her life.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc., 7250 Washington Boulevard, Elkridge, MD 21075 (exit 6 off Rt. 100) on Thursday, June 9th, 2016 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Friday, June 10th, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm where Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 10th, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Interment Private.
