

He was born July 7, 1979 in Baltimore, Maryland to Genevieve Smuck and Paul Posner.
Brock attended Mount St. Joseph High School before graduating with many awards in social studies and humanities. He received a full scholarship to UMBC, and graduated in 2001 with a B.A in American Studies, Cum Laude. Brock’s deep love for the humanities and American history inspired him to study law at
the University of Baltimore where he received his Juris Doctor in 2006.
Mr. Posner Smuck began his career in law at the Maryland State Attorney's Office, before establishing his private law practice. He took great pride in service to others, and was dedicated to upholding constitutional rights for his clients and community. Mr. Smuck was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Brock is remembered for his fierce intellect often expressed through wit, a joyful love for life, deep compassion for others, and personal spirituality. His numerous interests and hobbies ranged from music, dancing, cuisine, and a love for literature, art, politics, fashion, and cinema.
Brock was preceded in death by grandparents Stanley and Mildred Smuck.
Those who will cherish his memory include his parents, Genevieve Smuck, and Paul Posner, stepfather Mohammad Askar, stepmother Barbara Posner, his fiancee Rebecca Mohammed and his step-children-to-be, Alex Mohammad, Nicolas Case, and Tanissa Cappuccia. Lifelong friends include Melissa Plumley, Travis McChesney, Linda Barkenbush, Laura Spicer, Jonathan Mastne, Emerson Wen, and special feline friend Oliver, as well as many other cherished friends, family, and colleagues.
Services were held on February 6, 2024 at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home in Elkridge, MD. with interment at Meadowridge Memorial Park.
