Edward L. Knight Jr.

Edward L. Knight, Jr., a beloved resident of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on July 9, 2024, at the age of 73. He was born on November 29, 1950, in Baltimore to Edward L. Knight, Sr. and Catherine Knight (nee Nuth). Ed was the devoted brother of Timothy Knight (Patsy) and the late Elwood Knight (Lorraine); cherished uncle of Leigh, Bryan (Jessie), Bill (Taylor), and Danielle (Brendan) and great-uncle of Jack, Nathan, and Bellamy.

Edward graduated from Mount St. Joseph High School in 1968, where he demonstrated early on his dedication to academics. He went on to pursue higher education at the University of Baltimore, earning his Bachelor's degree.

Throughout his career, Edward served the State of Maryland diligently in the field of accounting, a role that he undertook with passion and professionalism until his well-deserved retirement.

Beyond his professional achievements, Edward was cherished by his family and friends for his warm-hearted nature, his sense of humor, and his unwavering loyalty. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend.

Edward leaves behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and dedication. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc. 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, Maryland 21075 (Exit 6 South off Route 100) on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at which time a Celebration of Life Memorial Service will begin.
