Edward "Ed" Allen Taylor was born to the late Mills Higgins Taylor and Carrie Reid Taylor. Edward spent his working career as a Vice President of a Roofing Company. Edward also was a Navy veteran and belonged to the Masonic Lodge in Cooks County, NC.
Edward was the beloved husband of 46 years to Lydia Maria Taylor and the devoted father to Edward A. Taylor, II and his wife Patricia, Joseph R. Taylor and his wife Kamal and Angela D. Cotton and her husband Richard; dear brother of Anne Williams of Hickory, NC, Martha Powell and her husband Larry of Conover, NC, Milly May of Hickory, NC, Donald Taylor and his wife Pat of Hildebran, NC and the late Robert Taylor and his wife Hilda; Edward is also survived by his 7 grandchildren.
A celebration of life service for Edward will be held Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Bethel Baptish Church, 4261 Montgomery Road, Ellicott City, MD 21043. Following the celebration of life service will be an entombment at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, 2150 Mount View Road, Marriottsville, MD 21104.
