

Eva Jean [Wigington] Chaney, 91, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother of Laurel, Maryland went home to be with her Savior, The Lord Jesus Christ on December 2, 2025.
Jean was born to Sarah (Cohen) and Raymond Wigington in Baltimore, Maryland on October 9th, 1934. Jean was the wife of Robert (Bob) G. Chaney. Jean and Bob both grew up in Brunswick, Maryland and graduated from Brunswick High School. They were high school sweethearts and shared a marriage of 72 years.
Jean cherished and devoted her time to her husband, family and friends. She had a heart of gold and enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved to cook and enjoyed a variety of restaurants. In fact, she never found a restaurant she didn’t like. She loved to entertain family and many close, cherished friends.
Jean is preceded in death by her oldest daughter Norma Rae Bochinski and her brother Raymond (Bunky) Wigington.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters Lisa Ann Stark and her husband, Jeffrey; Barbara Jean Ringer and her husband, Scott; Angela Marie Martin and her husband, Peter; and her son-in-law David Bochinski; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren along with her sister Beth Lee Putman, and sister-in-law Elsie Wigington and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 9th from 10:00am-12:00pm at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park located at 7250 Washington Blvd. Elkridge, MD. 21075. The funeral and committal service will be at the same venue at 12:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee or to your favorite charity.
